Here are pictures of my newest nephew, Xander Conrad Gutzeit. He was born Thursday, July 26th at 2:15 am. He weighed 7 lbs., 14oz and was 20.25 in. long. He's quite a little lovebug! I got to be in the delivery room with Macy during the whole thing, and it was something I will never forget!! Macy was such a champ thru the whole thing! Both Macy and Xander are doing great and got to come home tonight at 8:00. I think macy was ready to sleep in her own bed. Many more pictures and details to follow!

No fair!!

Well, another fair week has passed and I have once again escaped having to go!!! Even though the weather was much nicer this year, I still had no desire whatsoever to go. Scott ended up going for a couple of hours on Saturday to watch our neice, Kaitlyn, ride her horse. Scott said she was only going to ride in one event, so I didn't go. Kaitlyn ended up riding in 3 events and finished with 2-1st place and 1-2nd place!! WAY TO GO KAITLYN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday night, went to Aunt Nanc and Uncle Kirk's. We BBQ'd and they guys went outside, while us girls watched some home movies. Aunt Nanc had switched a bunch of VHS tapes over to DVD. There was some great ones of our family and then one of an old 9th grade volleyball game in Tipton. Anyone remember FUGAR???? I laughed so hard while watching that! It was pretty neat though.

Today, Scott and I slept in. I did some laundry and hung it out on the line. We then drove to Maquoketa to watch the new Adam Sandler movie "Chuck and Larry". It was pretty funny. Actually the 1st half was much funnier, but I really love Adam Sandler!!

Scott's out tooling around on his "popcycle". That's what Grandpa calls his motorcycle. He has really enjoyed riding that thing around. He keeps saying that he wants a big one like my uncle Kirk, but I told him that I would like to have our cars paid off and possible have a baby by then....we'll see who wins on that one!! hehe

Tommorrow is Macy's Dr's appt, so we will see if she will get induced tomorrow or sometime this week! I can't wait to meet Xander!

Macy

As promised, here's a picture of preggers. She has another Dr's appt on Monday, her actual due date, to see when they will induce her. She's really gotten huge and her poor feet seem to be taking the brunt of it lately. I hope baby Xander comes soon and gives Mommy some relief!!!

Visit

I got to visit with Andi and her girls on Thursday night! I had such a great time! It was so nice to be able to see the girls in person, and it was so great to laugh and catch up with Andi. Here are a couple cute pictures I got of the girls when I was there. Can't wait to see you again at Thanksgiving Andi!!!

Family picture

Here is a picture of Mom, Dodd and all of us "kids". Even seeing this picture, I can't believe how much we've all changed!

Busy, busy!!

I wanted to write a quick note in here about the triathlon and other events that are going on. It's been crazy around here!

Last weekend of the tri was so much fun!! It was a terribly hot day, about 95 in the shade, humid and windy!! Why not, see how tough we really are! hehe (I will post some pictures of it later tonight.) Melinda rocked in the swim; it took her about 20 minutes. I shaved 6 minutes off my bike time last year...I rode the 12.1 miles in 48 minutes!! Melinda and I then completed the 3.1 run. Melinda finished about 5 minutes faster than me, at 36 minutes. I think we're going to find some closer races next year. I'm looking into the biathlons and possible doing the week of RAGBRAI. We'll see.

This past weekend was action packed as well! Scott's sister, Tracy, come back from Minneapolis with her two boys. We headed up right away Saturday morning to play with them for a couple of hours. I can't believe how fast they are growing!! Finn just turned 3 and Julian will be 6 on October. Too cute!!! We left them around 11 am to go get ready at home for Scott's cousin, Troy's wedding. It was a lot of fun! I had to wait for my Jacobs' neices and nephew to get there before I had anyone to dance with! Thanks Mac, Kaitlyn and Nat!!! :-) I tried to teach the girls the electric slide, which they didn't seem too interested in knowing; however, they did know the "Stroke It" song and dance. Needless to say, I thought it would be a few more years before I danced with any of my neices to that song!! hehehe

Yesterday, Sunday, morning got up and went to Gpa and Gma Gutzeit's to help bale hay. It was really nice to do it inthe morning before it got too hot! I helped the other women unload the first 2 hay wagons, and then thought I would give the hay mow(I really don't know how to spell that.) a try. I joked around with the guys that they've been lying to us for years about how bad it is up there! (I know it was much easier since it was only about 70 degrees out when we started!) Had a good time ribbing them!

After bailing, we went to the great Wyoming fair and watched our neice, Kaitlyn, show her horse. It was so great to see her do such a great job!! She was the youngest in her group, by about 25 years!!! She ended up placing 4th overall!!! Way to go Kaitlyn!!!!

After that, we came home showered and took a bit of a nap. Ok, actually I took a very long nap!!! hehe

Well, I should go get ready for work. I will post pictures tonight when I get home! Take care all and hopefully see you at the fair!!!
